I’m still battling some kind of cold or flu or something so this is the best I could do through the fever haze.

That and I don’t normally like breaking the fourth wall, but there it is.

you forgot the steps before the guy got nailed to a cross, which were repeating the two first steps over and over and over and in almost each time finding a new elaborate and insanely painful (including mental torment)

  Thanks. When you think about it, there is quite a bit of guilt laid on us for being so wretched that god had to sacrifice his son to save us.

    i agree, why do we get blamed for one persons mistake, and then when the one guy who can have all our sins forgived makes it damn mear impossible to not sin

      I agree, and I also constantly fight the stigma that snakes have just because of a serpent that just happened to be in a tree at the same time that the devil needed a way to tempt Eve, and took advantage of the serpent. Wouldn’t this mean that the serpent was just a victim, and that by removing his limbs (through evolution) as punishment, he was just punishing the victim.
      
      Living in Arizona’s Mormon-run city of Mesa, and doing education for the Arizona Herpetological Association, meant that I’d have to try to get through their religious intolerance toward my snakes, and get them to actually think of their Genesis story in a different way… so that’s the logic I used, instead of just telling them that they were ignorant on many levels for believing in their sky-daddy.

    Well, it wasn’t much of a sacrifice, he didn’t stay dead and then got to go heaven.

    I still haven’t figured out how anyone could believe that killing one person could atone for “bad” stuff somebody else did. We don’t find an innocent man on the street and put him in prison for a crime that somebody else committed, and let the real perp go free. At least not on purpose…except in Texas.

Honestly, I don’t know which is it: do you make humour by criticing religion, or criticize religion using humour….i mean, what’s your deal? is it’ to primarly critique or to provoke laugh?

and not only did he know they would do all this, but according to calvinistic predestination, he ordained that they would do it, they didn’t have a choice. he knowingly predestined that people would do what they did and then got pissed when they did it
