As I mentioned before, I’m working on tee shirts, but since I’m new to this business thing, I have no idea how to go about ordering or selling.

I put up a poll (top left) to get a gauge of interest in how many to print, so if you’ll kindly give me your thoughts (and any other thoughts you have, please leave a comment) I’d appreciate it.

I’m going to put up the design I’m working on shortly.

I use CafePress to sell t-shirts for my business and such. I highly recommend them.

You can start small with a site like cafepress.com so that you don’t have to put any money down up front. If demand gets higher, though, you should go with something that will give you a better profit margin.

Put me down for one but I’m a picky t-shirt buyer. I don’t care for the larger “plasticy” designs that usually wind up peeling off after a few washings. I also like an all cotton shirt and when I get a XXL I expect to pay a little more but I also expect it to truly be an XXL. Oh, while I’m on my soapbox, nothing too offensive, maybe something simple like the pig and the title.

  to someone on the outside looking in, or in this case at a tee shirt, Joe theist citizen will say “yes, you are an atheist pig”, the name is kinda self deprecating and to wear a shirt that hardly makes a non-theists point let alone offer the theist fodder for their bias towards us (as if they need more) is counterproductive. Pigs just don’t get the respect they use to.

Couldn’t you just use email and paypal to get things started? Take orders via a new gmail addy and handle all transactions through Paypal? I have no clue, just pulling this out of my ass.

Personally, I would recommend posting the designs, collecting pre-orders, and then using a local silk screener. The quality from print on demand sites just can’t compete and no matter how crappy they always take more money from the customer and give less money to you. (I order 12 shirt runs from IndyInk in Denver for around $8 each and sell for $15-20 at conventions – waaaaay better than POD.)
