Nope, I didn’t forget. That’s why I’m trying to establish that Zimmerman did chase after Martin. Once that’s established, we can go to the non-emergency call recording where he was told not to follow Martin, in which he agreed to, but did anyways. If I remember correctly, Geddy is choosing to believe Zimmerman’s statement(s) (or a combination of his statementes). Which, if you listen to the non-emergency call and the police’s statement, is contradictory. I can understand (to a degree) Geddy’s insistence on religion, but it’s hard to imagine Geddy’s blind faith towards one person’s recounts of the events. Maybe he’s an avid fox news watcher so influences his views. I don’t know. It is possible he’s just trolling us, but it’s hard to imagine someone his age spending time trying to troll us.

What everyone seems to have forgotten- Is that Mr. Zimmerman was advised to not pursue the subject (Martin) by the 911 Dispatcher. Zimmerman chose to ignore that advice, thus the ‘stand your ground law’ doesn’t apply.

Leave it to the Ged, to seek to rationalise the actions of a murderer.

it should come as no surprise that a theist would spin “gods will” to suit their needs at the time, its been done throughout history from the parts of the buybull that found its way onto the cutting room floor, to the interpretation that king james approved, to the twists martin luther put on the tales to suit his needs to the major twists of joseph smith , jim jones and david koresh just to name a few…. this is nothing new for theists, after all it is their imaganery friend so why shouldn’t they feel like they could twist him like gumby to suit their views/needs or talking points….

Geddy, you seem to be shifting the topic. Let’s establish some points. Can you agree on the following points. 1) Zimmerman got out of car when he saw Trayvon Martin? 2) When Trayvon Martin ran, did Zimmerman chase after him?

If you say yes to both of those, then yes, Zimmerman did chase Martin. If you said no to either, I would like to refer you to the video that was posted here where Zimmerman admitted to following Martin. And, of course, since he had to run follow Martin, that is technically chasing.

Uhm… geddy, Zimmerman himself, in that video agreed that he got out of the car to follow Martain that night. Zimmerman was running (as per the sounds of the police call) after someone. So that, technically, is a chase. This isn’t Franklin’s “fiction” as you call it. It’s fact.

We can debate the other points once this fact has been established.

Following a suspicious character is NOT against the law whether he muttered those words or not. Martin beat the crap out of him, why? Martin approached Zimmerman. Zimmerman seemed to be watching where he was going for the police. Zimmerman claims he never got more then 100 feet from his car, and the noise was from the wind, not his breathing. He didn’t sound out of breath to me.

He broke no laws, whether he ran after him, followed him, asked him what he was doing, or just watched him. Yes, he should have watched from his car, but he certainly didn’t ask for or provoke a beating from anything I’ve seen.

Btw, I have admited on this forum before when I was wrong. But until all the fact are disclosed, none of us will know for sure. Why couldn’t Martin have just walked away after breaking his nose? Why the continued assault?

@ Kirby you seem to be misinformed. He wasn’t chasing Martin down. Martin was for no reason walking between houses which IS very suspicious especially considering the recent home invasion in the area.

Really you find nothing wrong with Martins actions? Martin was so scared by the “big creepy guy” that he approached him cursing at him the punching him in the face. The punch broke Zimmermans nose and knocking him to the ground where Martin mounted him and preceded to beat on him. Witness attest to that.

@ Troll Hunter, it’s MURDER, not kill. Another weak attempt by your side to spin the fact. He was 17 years old, not really a kid… young yes, but not a kid. I’ll leave Martin out of it if you leave Zimmerman out of it. Last I checked one is still innocent until proven guilty in this once great country.

If Zimmerman was intent on killing, why did he wait so long to pull the gun? Why take such a beating? If Martin is just a kid with skittles, why curse and adult and attack him? Just continue to deny the facts and pooh all over the legal system.

I also believe the WORST he gets is manslaughter, but believe he was justified with what he did. From everything thing I’ve heard and read, I believe he is innocent of any wrong doing.
