I wasn’t going to really weigh in on this topic, but I was at the hairdresser having my pubes done for an upcoming event, and this idea popped into my head.

    I think that might have been sarcasm, it looks like a play on Rick Warren’s “If children are taught they are animals, they will behave like animals” tweet.
    
    Besides, I don’t think Christianity teaches people are evil, but rather, teaches people are corrupted by evil.

      That’s not really the argument at all, you’re kinda shifting it. But the original statement wasn’t in sarcasm, it was in all seriousness. This guy also says things like gays should be killed. But Christianity does teach people are evil. Because we are all born with “original sin” which we must repent and ask forgiveness for.

If you add together the killings where belief in god was involved, the horror stacks up quite quickly from 9/11 through the Northern Ireland Troubles the thirty-years War etc.etc….
And that’s just what comes to mind a 4:30 in the morning as I’m rushing to work.

i saw that someone has erected 12 crosses at the shooting sight, the arrogance of such a thing overwhelms me. theres a very good chance that at least one of the victims was not a christian. most theists have no grasp on the fact that not everybody believes in the same myths that they do, nor do all enjoy their “holy torture/execution device plastered everywhere, yet we are the ones “pushing god out of society”? the theist arrogance behind pushing their superstition is a bigger factor in turning off anyone who thinks for themselves than anything a non-theist could ever do. BTW the troll has a spiffy bowtie

  It may be ignorant but those people mean well. We can only hope to educate people so they can honor our fallen ones in a universal manner pertaining to all beliefs.
