A girl was saved by God after being shot four times at the shootings in Aurora. God graced her with a birth defect that would prevent this bullet from killing her, thus proving that God knew this was going to happen and planned ahead of time.

This sounds like a great story, until you realize it’s all bull. Why would God save this one girl? When others have said that this whole thing happened because God isn’t putting his “all powerful” hand over us?

If God wanted to prove himself, why not have the gun backfire, killing the shooter, and have the blood make Jesus on the silver screen? That would get more people believing than killing 12 people and letting one girl live because of something that can be passed off as just being really lucky.

Killing 12 people, but saving this one from death is not proof of anything other than luck. If I spent $1000 to make $20, I wouldn’t consider myself profitable by any means.

This is not the first time people have used the cases of luck or coincidences to “prove” God. What do you think of this new trend with Christians? What do you think of people using God to justify these “miracles?”
