Vienna, Austria An international lawsuit has been brought against Lego Co, the government of the United States of America, and the ACME Trashcan Co. by the Austrian Muslim community known as PIG (Progressively Incoherent Group).
PIG’s legal briefs declare that the parties named in the aforementioned lawsuit have depicted the Hagia Sophia mosque in Istanbul in a blasphemous manner.
The manner in which the holy site has been depicted is disgusting and an affront to religious sensibilities and an assault of our religious rights.
PIG has been compiling a mountain of facts to support its legal claims. Mustafa Sinan, the lawyer presenting the lawsuit to the International Court of Sensitivities, produced these pictures that he will present in order to drive his point home. Mr Sinan has offered commentary on these images.
“Here is the Hagia Sophia in all of it’s glory. Notice the huge dome created under the Christian Emperor, Justinian I. After the humble followers of Mohamed liberated the city from the Christians in 1453, we turned the church into a mosque and improved the building by adding a flare of Islamic style by erecting minarets around the central structure.”
“Look at what Lego has done to our holy building. They placed only one tower around the dome which gives our mosque a distinctly Christian, basilica -style church appearance. They have also placed Jaba the Hut inside, which is totally against the commandment that prohibits graven images.”
the government of the United States of America has made a mockery of our noble dome! They jammed in columns wherever they could, and placed a mockery of a minaret on top. Did they consult with any Muslims before building such a monstrosity? I think not.”
“Lastly, this abomination is by far the worst instance of insensitivity that I have seen in my lifetime. The Acme Trashcan Co. has stolen an Islamic dome and uses that sacred design in order to put trash away. However, PIG is an understanding and tolerant institution. In the spirit of interfaith relations, we demand the ACME Trashcan Co. to change it’s dome into something less insulting. PIG suggests a design that looks like this for existing and future trash barrel covers.”
The International Court of Sensitivities is currently processing the paperwork. Oral arguments will start soon.
